Joomla! Ver.2.5 Released

 The Joomla Project announced the immediate availability of Joomla 2.5.0. Version 2.5.0 is the next update from version 1.7.4 (Note that we have skipped from version 1.7.x to 2.5.x.)

Version 2.5.0 is the second release made within the new six-month release cycle that started with the delivery of Joomla 1.6 in January 2011. Version 2.5 is also a long-term-support (LTS) release that will be supported for at least 18 months.

Video Ads 15 Seconds Max!

 Want to capture customer attention with online video ads? They'd better not be more than 15 seconds long, a new poll suggests.

According to a survey by Poll Position, about 54% of Americans think 15 seconds is the acceptable time to view an online video ad before seeing free content, from YouTube clips to streaming TV episodes.

Smartphones Turn Millions More Americans into Mobile Shoppers

 Number of mobile buyers will nearly triple by 2015

In 2011, US mobile commerce sales (including travel) surged 91.4%, to reach $6.7 billion. Continued strong growth will boost sales to $31 billion in 2015. More smartphone users, greater consumer comfort with mobile shopping and an increasing number of retailers launching mobile sites and apps will all play a part in propelling m-commerce sales.
